Meet Our Veterinarians
Dr. Adam Malcolm
Dr. Adam Malcolm graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001 after earning his B.S. from Truman State University.
Originally from East Peoria, Dr. Malcolm most enjoys the bond between pets and their people and the relationships that grow from caring for them. His professional interests include the treatment and prevention of cancer, orthopedic surgery, and radiology.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Malcolm has been married to his wife, Kimberly, for 28 years, and they have two sons attending college in Florida. He also shares his days with Kula, Big Hollow’s beloved greeter. In his free time, Dr. Malcolm enjoys all things baseball and golf, and especially likes beachcombing and collecting seashells during trips to Florida.
Dr. Adam Tatnall
Dr. Adam Tatnall graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Prior to veterinary school, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, with a specialization in Livestock, Dairy, and Equine, from the University of California, Davis. He joined Big Hollow Companion Animal Hospital in 2024.
Originally from Auburn, California, Dr. Tatnall enjoys helping pet owners better understand their pets’ health and disease. His professional interests include surgery and client education.
Dr. Tatnall currently lives in Washington, Illinois, with his wife, Amber. He also has three cats—Marzen, Kolsch, and Porter—who were littermates and were reunited over the years. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time outdoors, especially hiking in National Parks.
Dr. Kati Lothson
Dr. Kati Lothson graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Prior to veterinary school, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Pre-Veterinary Medicine from Illinois State University in 2020.
Originally from DeKalb, Illinois, Dr. Lothson is excited to care for pets and their people in Central Illinois. Her professional interests include preventative care and working with zoological companion animal species.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Lothson enjoys live music, gardening, and spending quality time with family and friends. She also has three cats she adopted during college: Kai, Tayla, and Coal.
